FAQ
Why is UPTITE® the most famous poultice?
It is very simple; UPTITE® was the first and still is the most imitated, the most popular and best-selling worldwide.

What makes UPTITE® "bigger and better" than other cool clays?
UPTITE® works much better than other cooling clays because is faster, safe, non-irritating and non-toxic.

Does UPTITE® contain any prohibited substances?
Absolutely not. UPTITE® is not a drug and does not contain prohibited substances.

What is the recommended use of UPTITE®?
UPTITE® is a target treatment for tendons, but it can also be used for many other purposes: to prevent overheating and heaviness in your horse's legs after hard work, to provide a temporary relief from inflammation, to speed up wound and abscess healing and as an excellent hoof packing.

Shall we use UPTITE® for curbs, quarter cracks, and suspensories?
Yes, UPTITE® can be used in case of curbs, quarter cracks, and suspensories for its excellent astringent properties. In all cases, UPTITE® is applied in a more sparingly manner than a conventional poultice, which means it goes much farther and can be easily removed with water.

What is the recommended way to apply UPTITE®?
UPTITE® can be used alone or under a stable bandage.
In any case, it is important to rinse well limbs with fresh water to remove dirt but also any residue of previous treatments.
Apply a generous coat of UPTITE® on the affected area, limbs, joints, tendons, sole and frog.
Overwrap with bandage, where possible, as shown in the video.
Remove after no more than 12/24 hours, showering with cold water
Repeat if necessary

Shall we use UPTITE® on legs for boils, cuts or abrasions?
Yes, you can.

Shall we use UPTITE in combination with other products?
UPTITE® has to be used in an area thoroughly free of any chemical or any foreign matter. However, horses can be treated with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., only if orally or parenterally administered.
Do not use UPTITE® in combination with liniments and other medications locally used
